Expanded Learning Program

Powered by Bay Area Community Resources (BACR)

We’re excited to partner with Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) to offer a high-quality Expanded Learning Program at Westlake Middle School. BACR serves over 15,000 students across five Bay Area counties with a focus on academic success, social-emotional growth, and engaging enrichment opportunities.

Our program is led by Ashley Hilliard, our new Expanded Learning Site Coordinator, who brings nearly 10 years of experience in afterschool education. Ashley and her dedicated team are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enriching space where Westlake students can thrive.

Program Details

  • Days: Monday – Friday
  • Time: From school dismissal to 5:45 PM
  • Open to: All Westlake Middle School students
  • Location: On campus

What We Offer

Our afterschool program provides a variety of engaging activities that support students academically, creatively, and socially, including:

  • Academic Support & Homework Help
  • Creative Enrichment (art, dance, music, etc.)
  • Sports & Physical Activities
  • STEM Projects (coding, engineering, cooking, and more)
  • Leadership & Social-Emotional Learning (youth voice, restorative circles)
